That's my Daughter Lainee at my gym A2o Fitness and I was a struggling single mom
It was about ten years ago. My daughter was no more than 2 or 3. I owned a seemingly successful gym in Boise Idaho. It was successful for the clients, but I was working 14 hour days and we were living in my friends basement. I was pretending because I was embarrassed of my desperate situation. I remember the moment like it was yesterday. It was 6 am and almost winter so it was dark and cold and she was on my hip. I had $2 in change in my jacket pocket and I was rolling it around in my hand as I was staring at the 1/2 gallon of milk at Winco. I was trying hard to calculate how many times she could have milk if I watered it down. Which wasn't easy because I hadn't eaten for two days. Not on purpose but because it was a choice of her eating or me eating.. I started sobbing uncontrollably in Winco. I sat or actually crumbled on the floor with her and cried. In that moment I decided I would never feel that way again and I haven't. In that moment I also decided I was going to start a a non profit for single moms one day. Well this is a start. I will be giving a scholarship away for every 5 week challenge I offer to a single mom. To apply click the link below. The next 5 week challenge begins October 29th.
